I Woke Up Drunk Today: Sweet Dreams VI - Interpretation Please

I woke up drunk today, at 9pm and I could feel all the woosiness of being drunk. But I wasn't drunk, I had just been taking a nap and been dreaming I was drunk. My old buddies from college, Richmond and Wellman and people from early in my career like Dwelle and Valz have missed our train back to civilization from some holiday destination. The are two half eaten hamburger crescents and I am hungry. A large, soft woman with full lips and absolutely gargantuan breasts presses up against me. She is soft and hungry. A wetwarm kiss like a kiss from the largest mother nature you have ever seen ensues. She is beautiful. I am enveloped. A pelvic press. I know who she is now, but I cannot tell you. We must stay for another day because of the train miss, but that's not so bad. Only problem is we are out of beer and probably out of money for beer. And then I wake up.

Homecoming: Sweet Dreams V

Homewood, Moline Illinois, Psychedelic Sunrise, Ken Boyte, Fidel Castro, Cuba, Sweet Dreams, VHS Tape,Interesting. I don't usually dream as much as I have been lately, but so long as I am, I might as well write em' down. This one was particularly vivid and I was able to revisit it after an early morning bathroom break and the taking of notes. Always fun when that happens. Like brain Tivo.

February 11, 2009

All of my friends have come to my home for my birthday party. The home sits atop a tiered landscape that drops down along a canal.
Ken Boyte, a friend from Korea, is pitching his domed style tent on one of the tired sections. He is having trouble with it. My college buddies, the High School pals - everyone is there. It's pretty wild. O Next door is the doctor's residence from the home I grew up in, in the Homewood addition of Moline, Illinois. It was originally built by a Dr. Laros, but later occupied by Dr. Escarza and his family. I remember my mom and the neighborhood tea ladies worrying that "them Mexicans would have the whole fam damily" living in the place. Dr. Excarza was Cuban, and this would have been just shortly after Fidel Castro's takeover of Cuba in the early 1960s. He had a quite normal family and his daughter, Rosa, was especially funny and popular in High School. But in the dream they have dug a recatangular hole in the ground in front of the house that is being used as a swimming pool. It is full of mud. One of my friends is climbing out with mud and chunks of grass all over his body but he is happy. I am unhappy because they took the space we were going to use for a volleyball court and now it was a mess. O My dad is there and I have purchased him a celphone. We make a call to test it and later he shows me a bill for $700. Strangely, I am not worried. O There is an art galery on the premises that has my work and photos of me. One is a black and white photo of me shot from over my shoulders. I am kneeling with a copy of a VHS videotape in my hands but in the photo the image is moving, so it is a video of a video that loops over and over again. O Throughout I am happy - running around greeting, organising and keepings things together. O There is a basketball arena with a stage but on the second mezzanine there is a desk, and underneath the desk is a 1970s sound system, Pioneer amp and tapedeck and such. It's the soundsystem for the whole place but it seems to work just fine. O Funny how things in dreams just work out.

Comments, analysis and interpretation are always welcome...

Sweet Dreams IV: All In A Mouse's Night - Interpretation please?

Tom Nelson, Sweet Dreams, Jonathan Hoffman, Leo Burnett, Studebaker, Rambler, Wal-Mart, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Interpretation Please, 1) Holding on to the rear fenders of two old cars, a Studebaker and a two-toned Rambler, I am dragged heroically, like a cowboy charging his enemy between two horses, but this is done in some sort of a normal parlance as I am having a conversation with a woman in the backseat of one of the cars and I feel no fear. This is just how things are. My friend, Tom Nelson, is driving and he speaks to me through the rear windscreen whilst holding up a platic wine cork - the kind with the metal aperature that one levers down to make sure the seal is complete - as if he has just pulled the stopper out of the fuel fill pipe, and says, "You might try putting some gas in it next time". 2) Jonathan Hoffman, my old partner from Leo Burnett, sits at a lathe in a dingy old factory with grease smeared all over his face and hands. He smiles broadly as I walk down the aisle of the shop towards a set of swinging aluminum doors and enter into what can only be described as a Wal-Mart-like office setting - rows and rows of blue cubicles under even more rows and rows of flouresent lighting in a scene resembling the last shot in Raiders of the Lost Ark - a cavernous, huge, clean, bizarre space that goes on forever. I have been asked to review the design for an electrical device, a not very technical intrument that is simply a switch where two sets of contacts will touch two other sets of contacts whenever a button is depressed. This is my design somehow and it works precisely. It is pointed out to me that what I have done is akin to a fine suit and I am a tailor. 3) We have traveled an hour and a half. I smile.

Sweet Dreams III - Fragmented Fermentations

After a time in any exotic land the things one first found exotic become normal. That rooster on the sidewalk, the steetside barbers, the language - all part of a regular day now. Maybe now, only in dreams can I travel. I am already too far away in the real world. This is a collection of snippets, all from different days and different dreams over a period of six months - each seperated by a letter. (A) Dad is on a street with all old cars - one green Chrysler to be seen. If I look in the rear view mirror of one car, I can see all the others. (B) I travel with the Leo Burnett company to Germany on a NinCourage, Dreams, Kirkhart, Leo Burnett, Nintendo, Pants, Rooster, Scullin, Sweet Dreams, Swiss Cheese, Todd Rundgren, wifetendo assignment. They are showing me a 10 year plan to move people into side businesses. There are drinks at a bar with cute girls and my old friend Patrick Scullin (C) Tom Kirkhart, my old college roomate, and his wife Kim are in a house with my old stereo. I can't find the volume and it keeps playing. Tom has 10 boom boxes and other stereo gear around. I can hear his voice as if it is not a dream at all. "Tom, we don't have a lot of room here", I say. I come to believe this dream is real because I can hear the music exactly as it sounds - and that's what wakes me up. (D) The lips are those of a very old lady - aluminum foil wrinkled into her 70s or 80s, yet smiling slightly and pleasantly attractive. I am drawn to them. They are my wife's from years ago, yet now years ahead. Too many years ahead. (E) The composite girl's pantaloons are like three layers of black silk swiss cheese, cut with bigger-than-hand-sized holes and layered so that not two holes match, making my maneuvering, from knee to crotch her minefield affair. But I persist. I persist until the warm milk of the target licks upon my fingers and they are invited in, one by one - cut to a miltary model of a battlefield with model tanks and a radio-controlled red truck as a comander barks, "Higher!". (F) I can hear the song "Courage" as if it is real...

Sweet Dreams II: Strange Dreams - Interpretation please?

1) Is there a map that puts Canada, Korea and Michigan on the same continent? I work there running a company. 2) I am fishing and getting a million little fish (pictured) in a sieve to bring to market. They tell me the owner is very happy. My catch is appreciated. hee bon park, beautiful korean, dream, nightmare, crazy, wow And a previous Korean girlfriend (pictured) walks in a diaphonous coctail dress looking sexy and exuding a confidence she never actually had, with funny old Mrs. Woo looking like an old Cheju Island statue (pictured) with a faker than fake smile chiseled on her face. Dominick, my old friend and past financial advisor just hangs his head in this parade of ghosts wearilittle tiny fish, net, dream, crazyng a trench coat and too shy to look me in the eye. I bark at Mrs. Woo and tell her to "stop smiling" (Koreans smile when they are lying or embarrased). But they are all walking parallelCheju Island statues, Korean, Korea, Fake smiles, hammer & Chisel to me as if separated by a fence or moat. 4) They say Mr. somebody, Mr. somebody works in Korea and Canada but lives in Michigan. I can see a map. They are all next to each other. 5) I see signs being hung, as if at Pike's Place Market in Seattle for fish, sausages and other fresh items and all the prices are the same as the US but it is not the US. It is dreamland. 6) I don't know anything about Canada. How did I end up here?
